Pretty People Pictures is a genre film production company based in Denver, Colorado. Founded in 2007 by Jimmy Weber and Annie Elizabeth Baker while they were still in film school, the company broke onto the independent film scene with the six-minute short Incubator in 2011. It screened at 50 international film festivals—including Fantastic Fest, Fantasia, and ScreamFest—won 13 awards, and earned praise from Rue Morgue Magazine.

In 2014, Pretty People Pictures produced EAT, an intense, intimate body-horror feature written, directed, and edited by Jimmy Weber and released by 1091 Media. EAT premiered at the Denver Film Festival, screened at Sitges Film Festival, and won Best Feature Film at both the Atlanta and Sacramento Horror Film Festivals. Blumhouse’s Ryan Turek praised it as “a clever, entertaining, and extreme tale that really goes for the throat.”

In 2018, Weber and Baker teamed with writer-director Jon Stevenson to produce his feature debut, Rent-A-Pal. The retro thriller stars Brian Landis Folkins, Wil Wheaton, Kathleen Brady, and Amy Rutledge. IFC Midnight released it in 56 theaters and on demand on September 11, 2020. The Hollywood Reporter said the film “expertly keeps you on edge,” while RogerEbert.com called Stevenson’s work “brilliant” and Wil Wheaton’s Andy “one of the scariest villains of the year.”
